For non-CAPT printer (not listed above) follow general steps.

For some Canon printers of the CAPT family, there are two drivers: an open captdriver and an original driver from the manufacturer.

Open Driver

The open driver does not require additional configuration and supports the following models:

  • LBP2900/LBP3000
  • LBP3010/LBP3018/LBP3050
  • LBP3100/LBP3108/LBP3150 (choose LBP3010/LBP3018/LBP3050 driver)
  • LBP6000/6018 (choose LBP3010/LBP3018/LBP3050 driver)

If you want to use an open driver, add a printer according to general instructions.

Driver from the manufacturer

Other models in the CAPT family that are not supported by an open driver require the manufacturer driver to be enabled. It works in emulation mode, which is why the delay before printing can be up to 20 seconds.
